You'll always find plenty of recreational mathematics on the NRICH website, and it may make you think even harder than you do in mathematics lessons.
Some teachers say that their students have no time for mathematical enrichment and for doing mathematics outside their examination syllabus. Other mathematics teachers, like good coaches for sporting champions and like teachers of the best musicians, say that training for the best performance always involves practice and exercises that go beyond what is actually required in the sporting event or concert hall. Students are likely to do better in their exams if they have worked on NRICH challenges that interest them and explained and proved their results.
