It was the annual summer sports day at Tuggem School. The contestants for the Tug-of-War were limbering up.

There were four P.E. teachers, each of equal strength, though refusing to believe it.

Five grandparents were also taking part. They were also of equal strength and happy to believe it.

Finally, there was an independent entry, Sniffles the dog.

Use the following information to discover who wins the third heat of the Tug-of-War contest.

The first heat: The four P.E. teachers formed a team and battled it out with the five grandparents. The result was a dead heat, a tie.

The PE teachers. sniffles the dog. The grandparents.

The second heat : Sniffles was a one dog team. He took on one of the P.E. teachers and two of the grandparents. For a moment the children though Sniffles would win but the heat also ended up as a tie between the two sides.

The third heat : Three grandparents joined Sniffles to make a team. They took on the might of the four P.E. teachers. Who won? Explain your thinking.
