(i) There are 1+2+3=6 pieces of fruit that aren't apples, so
there must be 6 apples.
(ii) There are 4+3+3=10 pieces of fruit that aren't apples or
oranges, so there must be 10 apples and oranges. There are the
same number of oranges as apples, so there are 5 apples.
